WorshipMartin Luther called music "one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us".  He also said, "Next to theology I give music the highest place and honor."

The music team of HHCHOG, both instrumental and vocal, strives to make the music heartfelt and exciting, while at the same time leading the congregation into a more intimate relationship with the Lord.  They work to have a spirit of enthusiasm to our Lord with musical praise, then to the congregation at large.

Six times the psalms encourage God's people to worship Him through a "new song."  This exhortation fits with the fact that during Israel's monarchy, and especially during the reigns of David and Solomon, a torrent of new music flowed from the musicians at Jerusalem.  This means that the church should support and encourage those believers to whom God has given music ability.  Praise be to the Lord, Most High!

Singing can and does provide encouragement and comfort in times of need.  The Word teaches that we will enjoy giving praise and singing throughout eternity.  How different would be our times of corporate praise if each of us would heed the apostle Paul's teaching of "singing with the Spirit and with understanding also. (1 Cor. 14:15)!  Not all of us are able to sing tunefully, but everyone in whom the Spirit dwells can and should respond with Joyful praise when the opportunity is presented.

We want the Light of Jesus to shine through in the midst of our services, so that His light may be reflected to each believer that others might come to know this Light as well.
