William Arthur Ward once said, "a warm smile is the universal language of kindness."
Wow, how true that is, smiling can turn your day from bad to good. You can turn someone else's day from bad to good as well, just by smiling.
In our world today there is a lot of concern about jobs, the economy, and other elements of uncertainty, but as believers in Christ we still have hope! A hope that is beyond this world. A hope that gives us reason to smile each and every day.
When you feel down and depressed, think about the moment in your life when Jesus Christ filled you with His hope. Remember that He alone gives purpose for living.
The Bible claims that there is "no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Today....smile! Smile because you have reason to live and celebrate new life in Christ Jesus!

Is 'disciplined' a word that characterized your Christian walk? Do you want it to be? Have you ever discipled a believer in Christ, placing them firmly on the path of spiritual growth?
Discipleship training seeks to fulfill these needs. Discipling is a way of teaching and encouraging believers through a systematic, personal and Spirit-directed training that holds them accountable for developing Christian disciplines. Critical disciplines include daily quiet times with the Lord and Bible reading.
The discipleship class runs 4 sessions with each session lasting 8-9 weeks each. (total of 36 weeks)
This type of training is necessary for any believer that is concerned about growing and learning in the Lord.
Please contact me if you're interested in this class.

It won't be long and we will begin talking about Easter. Can you believe it? As we approach the Easter season, we will also focus on the time leading up to Easter which is called the Lenten season. The season of Lent has not been well observed in much of evangelical Christianity, largely because it was associated with "high church" liturgical worship that some churches were eager to reject. However, much of the background of evangelical Christianity, for example the heritage of John Wesley, was very "high church." Many of the churches that had originally rejected more formal and deliberate liturgy are now recovering aspects of a larger Christian tradition as a means to refocus on spirituality in a culture that is increasingly secular. Originating in the fourth century of the church, the season of Lent spans 40 weekdays beginning on Ash Wednesday and climaxing during Holy Week with Holy Thursday (Maundy Thursday), Good Friday, and concluding Saturday before Easter. O ...

Today is Friday the 5th of September 2008. It is a cool morning with some reminders of Fall in the air. Not quite sure if I am ready for that or not...
As I finish my quiet time this morning, I am mindful of those this past year who have had to say good bye to someone they loved. Those individuals that have gone home to be with Jesus.
It is undoubtedly a difficult time for each of you. But the Lord gives us some encouraging words that I'd like to share with you today.
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
